“Lao MSMEs Expo 2026” was officially announced at the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (DOSMEP), Ministry of Industry and Commerce, on February 5, 2026. This event is organized in collaboration with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, the Lao MSME Association, and the Lao Best Brand Association under the theme: “Inclusive Agro-Processing Goods and Eco-Tourism.”

During the press conference, Mr. Vithoun Sitthimorada, Deputy Director of DOSMEP, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Liththikay Phoummasak, President of the Lao MSME Association, and Ms. Ratsamy Vetsaphong, President of the Lao Product Promotion Association presided. Members of the press and media, along with representatives from relevant public and private sectors, also attended.

Mr. Vithoun Sitthimorada stated: “This is the first national-level exhibition for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Laos. There will be MSME units from almost every sector and business category across the country participating in the event. We’ve alo invited MSME representatives from Vietnam, China, and Thailand to attend, with more than 250 expected.”

The event is supported by the MSME Access to Finance for Emergency Support and Recovery Project (MSME A2F-ESR), funded by the World Bank.
